Yes, I know about that site. My question is really whether there is any value in this Power Linking technique or whether it's just some type of scam.
Thanks

OK - big big title full of superlatives, loads of feedback drivel from customers who have made millions in JUST ONE DAY. Not really getting to the point.
This guy has PR4 on his page. Not so much Power Linking going on there.
This has to be another of those get rich quick things. Got to be spammy or useless, or just what you know already.

Hey all,
Just found this in the search engines.
This has to be another of those get rich quick things. Got to be spammy or useless, or just what you know already.
Man, it's just that simple for some people isn't it? I bet you get a lot more SEO clients putting down everything else around you. Typical.
You see, my "scam" somehow actually produced the thousands of links to my site and I have been doing this for 3 years. All the testimonials are real - nowhere does it say anyone made a million in a day, nor does it make any claim of monetary gains on my letter.
I understand there are tons of scams out there - but when someone blows off something out of hand making huge assumptions, that person usually sits at the bottom of the heap in the SEs wondering why there isn't "anything legitimate" on the net being taught.
There are also people who want to protect their turf - Some SEO pros don't like do-it-yourselfers too much.
Mainly - just how in the world do you think all those links got into the search engines if Power Linking was a scam?
Doesn't bother me except that left to its own devices, a perfectly good, expert reviewed product is left dangling here in this thread as if it was ok to lump it in with all the scams out there.
Email any of the people on my site - ask them how they liked it. How it worked.
If you REALLY wanted to know - you'd do that before leaving it up to some people who haven't even tried it. There's evidence all over the web in any search engine you want to look in to prove I am no hack.
Just my .02

I dont mean to slam anyones product. But I have always taken a look at the company itself before falling into the hype they have to say about their product of service. Its a good idea to get real feedback from people who have used it, and the companies site itself. The PR4 would turn me away from this product as well. His backlinks only register (july 15th) at 143. That is not a lot of rank and not a lot of backlinks. However, his Alexa ranking is under 20,000.. This tells me that he does get a lot of traffic. (from those who have the toolbar installed.)
I think i would need to see more proof before I buy this product.

Jack,
Is this your site listed? http://www.pestpatrol.com/pestinfo/...profits_com.asp
Yes - I wrote a post in the Warrior forum, where I am a moderator, about this. Anyone who creates a toolbar gets on that list - it's not a big deal. You'll find Alexa and everyone else with a toolbar on there as well - except mine is not spyware.
Power Linking is not software and not like PR Prowler. It is how professionals market their websites - pessimism aside - that's really what it is. Anyone who has purchased it will tell you that.
I have been selling and updating the course for three years now so if it was a scam, the word would be out.
The only bad things said about it come from people who, ironically, have never used it or purchased it.
Again, I urge anyone who is interested to just contact one of my customers. Their contact info is on all testimonials on the site - I am not hiding anything.
Jim Daniels, Willie Crawford, Stone Evans, and many other high-profile people don't endorse scams.
What this thread tells me is that there are a lot of people who haven't been around very long if they haven't heard of Power Linking or me, and that time will tell.
Re: PageRank - Power Linking is not about getting page rank. High search engine rankings are a by-product of Power Linking. My Alexa is low because of high-traffic links more than search engine links. I get about 10% of my traffic from the engines. The rest is directly from links that are not buried in directories in dark corners of others' sites.
Using Google to find backlinks is fairly useless. Unless all you care about is pagerank, which does not pay the bills. I have many thousands of links to my sites - Google only counts the ones with high page rank themselves. Not a useful tool to Power Linkers who go by traffic, not rank, in determining the worth of a link.
Again, it is amazing with all the good press and good feedback that a couple things that are easy to explain away but HARDER to find on the net are what have come up here.
It's much easier to find the good feedback and press in the engines regarding this product than the perceived "bad." Leads me to believe some folks just don't WANT to know if something can help their marketing - they might have to actually commit.
I'd be happy to answer any questions anyone has. Scammers don't usually say that do they? You can even give me a call. Just drop me an email and I will give you an 800#.
Look, clearly you've never seen anyone go to bat for their product like this who was a scammer. We can put that to bed now, I hope.
I am not pitching this thread - I don't need to work this hard for a sale - but my reputation is important and that's why I even took the time to respond to this.
If you want to find out about me you can ask several thousand of the Internet Marketing Warriors what they think of me. Really - I've made it quite easy to find me and get to know who I am - there's no need for investigative journalism.

*Looks at humphrey's posts, then his site*
Right, anyone can get the same sort of results for free: simply by reading SEO forums *GASP* and applying the info held there to your site *GASP* Although, it will be slower and more natural and will take into account things like Google's sandbox and continuously changing algos, etc.

Seobook, would you be kind enought to elaborate:
"pr prowler is useful, but there is other linking software that is better now."
Thanks
