Good Javascript tutorials

Hi!

All the Javascript tutorials I find show code that not always works in any browser (or used browser {Explores, Netscape, Firefox, Opera...}).
Nevertheless many Javascripts applications I see work on any browser (for example, this forum).
Where might I learn really good Javascript to implement good and browser-compatible Javascript?
I mean, to make good scripts which will work anywhere (or almost anywhere).
