Google Update / Dance in progress?

Has anyone else noticed that for the last 48 hours that Google results are somewhat erratic? If you do a search for almost anything, then do the same search 30 seconds later - you might not get the same results.

Also, the backlinks for sites seem to be fluctuating.

Word has it there is some sort of an update going on..

Technically, the update for the visible PR would be about mid january... in the good old days where this had patterns, it would take about 14 days from the deepcrawl to the visible PR change. So if mid Jan is the probable PR update day, then beginning of Jan would be the start of the deepcrawl, and of the motion in serps... but the patterns are not easy to track anymore... so it might also be tomorrow or at the end of the month if ever... lol

Yes - there is a flux going on in the search results. It's been a disaster for my site; but I've been through this before and an just going to wait it out. It will settle down in a week or so.

I guess the flux you are seeing is related to Big Daddy (http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/002962.html). The result had also spread to 64.233.179.104, 64.233.179.99, 66.249.93.99 and 66.249.93.104 the last time I checked (don't know if they still are there, or if they haved moved to other DC's as well. Haven't bothered to check).

I am getting result for one of my site ticketstousa.com for some key phrases.
But some time ago google was not showing result for those key phrases. Meanwhile i have done some changes in my site and site was cached. I don't understand what was the reason behind my SERPS.

new sites can sometimes drop in and out of the SE's... how old is the site and what are the phrases so we can check?
