I got this email from a company called seoperfection.com, I also got this same email months ago from a company called seo-specialists.com. The company is really Seomatrix - i figured it out by the mailing address at the bottom of the SPAM email.

How can you gaurantee rankings?? Does anyone have any other information on Seomatrix (www.seomatrix.com)? Are they reputable, especially after I received these spam emails. I am in the market for an SEO company and Im not how to find a reputable one.

Yea I got something similar before. I would not trust them. Dunno if SEO-Guy said this or what but if the SEO Company is not in the Top 10 list what would they do to your site. If they are not in Top 10 they I would skip them. SEO-Guy is a very very good reputable SEO company.

If you're interested in what seo guy offers, send us a seo quote (http://www.seo-guy.com/seo-quote.php) request.

I'm also not sure if seo guy has said that publicly, but that's the kind of thing that he'd say. It makes perfect sense - if the company can't rank themselves, then why would you want to hire them to rank you?

Site unseen.

Gentlemen (and ladies, if you're reading this),

I'm not even showing a cache of seoperfection.com.

In order to make things remain this way, I think i'm going to deactivate the links in that spam message :D (my apologies dellfan, if you're offended in any way).

seomatrix is there, but not seoperfection... hmm..

Ride,

Jocelyn has me run ragged. That guy is the fastest poster and mod I've ever met. I have to try my hardest just to find a post that I can have some fun with. :D

(I still like ya though, Joc)

I dont know if I should be offended or not, dude if your looking for an SEO Company then type it in the engine that your looking for rankings on and go with the #1 guy, and yes wyr I have said that many times.

However, this forum is clearly part of website that operates an SEO Company, would you go to a real estate office in your area walk in and say "Um excuse me, Im here in your real estate office, wondering if you can recommend a competitor" without even first enquiring about that offices services! I mean honestly have some respect, I don't mind other people talking about other SEO Companies here, and I'll even give an honest answer when asked who are the best (Myself not included thats a given) but for some reason coming into this thread at 2 am, and reading this really puts my next hours of work in foul air.

Thanks for the complements from the other members but dellfan " I am in the market for an SEO company and Im not how to find a reputable one" thats kind of rude dont you think?

Okay, wait a second. I am not being rude. I am getting a consensus on how to judge a company. This is an SEO forum, that I would think SEO people would frequent. That is the opinion I want, not from a webmaster.

I am in the market for an SEO company, but more because I keep getting emails telling me I have to. And after doing some talking with these people and realizing I do need it, I dont want to be a sucker and just take anything.

So I wanted the opinions from people within the industry. Not sure if I would get the response i was looking for, i posted this on other SEO forums too. None of the moderators bashed me for my post. They realized I was making aware of the tactics of some companies and that asking if I could trust them.

He didn't bash you. He gave you his opinion of how he perceived your post. And he asked you if you thought it was rude.

It might help to keep in mind that we're guests in someone else's cyberspace. This guy runs a business, not a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a forum for SEO.

It's obvious he didn't like how you came across. Now that you have that information, you have a choice as to how you word future messages.

Thank you archer,

You said that very well. I wanted to provide a similar explanation to seo guy's post, but couldn't quite find the words.

The only thing about that offended me was

"I am in the market for an SEO company and Im not how to find a reputable one."

You didnt ask how to judge a company at all, you said your looking for an SEO Company, can we here at this SEO Company recommend one (Insinuating someone else) without even considering where you were posting. You use the word "reputable" and do not include our site in your consideration, in fact by your posts tone you abstractly exclude this site from "reputable" consideration.

You may see it differently, but when you reconsider and re-read how you put it, I think you might have been insulted as well.
