I know this may be a silly question but it's been rattling around in my head all day.

It seems to be headed in the direction that non-reciprocal links mean more than reciprocal links so, would placing your link in a sub domain make that link a non-reciprocal link? For example my links go out from from partners.mysite.com with the partner linking directly to mysite.com. Thereby still passing PR and having a legitimate link page but making it look like a different site. :eyes:

I think I read that reciprocal is controlled by domain name, so it would not work.
You would also have to get links to your subdomain since it's a site on it's own.
Not sure about all this, but I would say it's not worth the trouble.

Would you need to get links to the subdomain? Wouldn't you just link to it the same way you do any other link page?

Well you would have to get links to the subdomains yes.
Get links for the original and some for the subdomain.
Enough links to pump the PR enough so it's worth to get the link.

But wait for more opinions on this, like I said, just my opinion and stuff I read.
