Hello Webmasters,
Just a heads up that the new version of Norton Internet Security that ships with all dell computers has a feature that is designed to block banner advertising. Unfortuantely - part of the algorhithm to determine if an image is a banner ad involves looking at the name.
I have designed over a hundred websites over the last few years and almost all of the use "banner.jpg" (my arbitrary name) for the banner graphic. People started complaining that they couldn't see part of my pages, and upon further investigation I discovered this feature that comes pre-installed and configured on new Dells.
I would recommend avoiding the word "banner" as the name or part of the name of graphic elements on your websites.
