I need some help from all the United Kingdom peepz :D

I'm doing this new thing for the comapny i work for and i need some info about UK.

I need to find a site or anything that will give me all the UK provinces. I also need to know who the main shipping carrier is in the UK, probably something like UKPost lol hehe.

Any help would be greatly apreciated :D

thx.

Hrrrm, you're looking for UK states not provinces (we call them states in england). The main shipping carrier in England especially and probably the UK is Royal Mail.

hmmm Nick0r - not sure where you got the idea that it is states in the UK? It is Counties which are then broken down into boroughs.

There is pretty good list of English counties here curiousfox.com/sitemap.html and on that page you will also see links for Scottish, Welsh and Irish counties too. Hope this helps

WE !! Surely you cannot be from England to make such a mistake.

Anyway, there are 86 historic (or traditional) Counties of Great Britain - the ones listed in GBytes link. However the government in their wisdom decided to mess around with this some years back and there was a "reorganisation of counties". This mean't the creation of counties such as West Midlands where I live and the demise of counties such as Westmorland. The new line up now has 66 counties.

The wacky thing is neither are "official" as different people have different views on which to adopt. The royal mail accept both. Meaning I don't even know where I live anymore !!

Really, I had a whole todo list at the front of my mind and I was focusing hard on remembering all of the items, I'm quite ashamed I made that stupid mistake. Anyway, Middlesex > All.

I guess it's understandable that if you had a long to-do list to focus on you would forget that WE classify regions as Counties and not States.

I mean it happens all the time. I can recall it happening on conversation like, well NEVER!

Not got a problem with people not knowing the difference, but it is annoying when people try to pass themself off as being an expert on something (or being from that country - you're use of WE) and giving incorrect information.

It's not fair on the person asking the question. If you can't help are aren't sure then leave to someone who can and is.
