It depends on keyword competition on which you r promoting your site and also depends on your staretagy.

To get 1000 visitor daily from MSN, you should rank for atleast 100 keywords LOL.

You need to rank for lots of keywords or a bunch of high competition keywords to get decent traffic from MSN.

MSN is nice but you need analyzing your business to learn how many searches are done each day with your keywords.

Some terms are searched more than a million per month and some other ones, less than 1000 ;)

a more pertinent question would be:
do 1000 people search on MSN for the keyword you're targetting in a day?

So just target a big search term like Paris Hilton and you will get decent traffic from MSN. It may not be the most targeted traffic but it will be a good quantity of it. :rolleyes:

Not much traffic on MSN, but at least it's a relatively fair search engine because it gives hope to new starting sites.

Well, Right. Please note that the term Paris Hilton is a personal and very specific term and is searched more than a million times on Yahoo and MSN and as you see it helps much if one wants to optimize a website related to Paris Hilton subject and be very successful but trying the same optimization method for other general and broader keywords like "celebrity" or "model" will not be that helpful. ;)
