php blog programs

Anyone use any php blog (weblog) programs? I am working on a site for a friend and I've been searching for a good program. There are so many, it's hard to choose. I have been playing around with plog (http://www.plogworld.org/), and it seems to be relatively easy to use, but I was wondering if anyone out there has any thoughts.

I've used blogger for my own stuff in the past, but we want a local option for this project. Thanks.

hmm I dunno, is movable type a local option? WE use it over at the seroundtable and it works awesome!

I use Movable Type to post some articles on my site and it works great. In addition, it generates a clear, static, spider-friendly html files.

Movable Type requires PERL and that means security holes.

Movable Type is great, but I find that b2 works better for me and I have even used it for client sites. The features (Especially email submissions) are really great and abundant.
