Hi,
My site has been live for over a year, yet my site appears usually somewhere between pages 14 - 20 in google.co.uk for my main keywords 'Pets for Sale', 'puppies for sale' and 'kittens for sale'.
Last night however, I checked my keywords in google and to my amazement, two of the keywords where on the first page of the results and the other was on page 2!! Anyway, as you can imagine I was very excited after all of this time waiting and hard work I have put in to my site.
When I woke up this morning I checked again just to make sure, but my site was once again appearing very low down in the SERPs. I would have believed that this was just a nice dream, but i'd left my computer on overnight and when I clicked the back button in my browser, it did actually show my site on the first page.
I'm not sure if this means that my site may come out of the sandbox soon or not. Has anyone had any similar experiences in google???
Cheers
Mark
Hi,
we had a similar report here http://www.seo-guy.com/forum/thread12062.html....
Since then I'm seeing an extra datacenter with the "nice" serps, so it could be spreading out, but I've never known such a slow propagation before ... one new datacenter a day doesn't sound right...
I'm sure it's just that Google loves to tease!
Cheers,
Paz.

I've been checking my site on google.co.uk today for my main keywords 'Pets for Sale', 'puppies for sale', 'dogs for sale', 'kittens for sale' and I seem to be on the first page for all of these keywords, which is really good cause there all competitive keywords. I just hope they stay there now!
Does anyone else see my site www.pets4homes.co.uk or am I just catching the same lucky datacentre each time??
Interesting.... in google.com you aren't in the top 100 but you are #5 in google.co.uk. There must've been an algo update relating UK searches.
Anyway, it's a bit premature, but it looks like congrats could be in order sometime soon... :D
How's the traffic looking?
Cheers,
Paz.

If you search on google.co.uk, I am sometimes number 5 as you say, but other times I am on page 10. This keeps changing throughout the day, I presume it depends on which datacentre you are hitting.
Earlier today I searched on google.com for 'pets for sale in the uk' and I was on the first page, other times I am way down in the results.
I think maybe an update is rolling out across the datacenters. I am no expert on google, so I dont know whats happening.
Traffic has definately picked up today, but not by a great deal. Maybe this is because most people are hitting the datacenters where I am on page 10, and only a few hitting the other datacenters.

I guess you have passed the sandbox effect, your google.co.uk search results proves this, and I think the US google centers should update and fix your placement very soon. ;)

As soon as it starts doing that, I just do spot checks to see when it settles... meanwhile I do other things, mainly making content... don't worry, I lost loads of time looking at my keys... but at the end of the day, knowing or not, you get the same traffic...
I knew I was losing ground on my cribbage site... but why look at it burn... the month is over and then see in the stats that I lost half the traffic... oh well... but at least I did not torture myself the whole month... lol
