I got a free analysis done from etrafficjams.com, and they gave me WHAT to do but not HOW to do it. I understand why they do this: so you pay them to do it for you. I was wondering if I can post the report here and all the experts at seo-guy forums ( :D ) can tell me what it means. Thanks guys.
I read a post before and I am sorry for mentioning other SEO companies, but I truely believe you guys know what you are talking about so therefor I would like your input.

There is nothing wrong with postingother SEO companies names here, nothing at all. I know the post you refer to and thats not what it was about.
IF you want to post their suggestions here, by all means. It would be intersting to see what the competition is up to

----BEGIN OF REPORT------
Web Site Optimization Analysis Report for: HitsBam
The following is your complimentary web site optimization analysis report for http://www.hitsbam.com. It is meant to be a guideline to help you get the best search engine positioning possible for improving your online business. We hope you find it helpful.
Phase I
Page Rank Score Your PRS (Page Rank Score) is “4” out of a possible “10”. PRS is Google’s scoring algorithm system. The higher your score, the better the chance your web site will be ranked top among Google, Yahoo, AOL, and other search engines and directories. Considering the amount of competition you have for your type of products/services, increasing your PRS to a “6” or “7” will definitely help you get higher search engine rankings for your important keyword phrases.
Phase II
Search Engine Registration Being listed with the top major search engines is ONE factor in your quest for achieving top rankings. Below, you will see the top 3 search engines and whether or not your site is already listed / registered with them: http://www.hitsbam.com is listed with Google http://www.hitsbam.com is listed with MSN http://www.hitsbam.com is listed with Yahoo! Take notice! All the search engine submissions in the world will not get your site better rankings. Search engine submission simply gets you listed, along with a million other web pages in your category. Optimization is what lifts your search engine placement above all those other pages. The status of your search engine placement is a direct result of your site not being properly optimized and the web site positioning of your site will not improve until the solutions mentioned in this report are in place.
Phase III
HTML Optimization The HTML code of your site is not properly optimized to obtain higher search engine rankings for your targeted keyword phrases. Your rankings will not improve until this is fixed! Try driving your car with four flat tires while trying to win the Daytona 500… it’s not going to happen. Note: META KEYWORD TAGS won’t help much. They mean almost ZERO as far as getting top rankings. Google for example doesn’t even include them in their algorithm equation. Instead, consider hiring an experienced SEO consultant to implement new, optimized HTML code that will make a real difference in your rankings.
Phase IV
Search Engine Market Share Most web sites offer several pages of information regarding their products and/or services. Optimizing each of these sub-pages is a very smart way to grab more market share from the search engines, which will improve your qualified web site traffic and increase sales. In addition to properly optimizing your home page, we have found at least five additional sub-pages in your site that, if properly optimized, would improve your overall search engine rankings.
Phase V
Content Writing Utilizing powerful, action-inspiring web content and promotional writing will not only improve your rankings dramatically, it can also turn your financial picture around instantly! Strong sales writing that is properly optimized will attract more targeted traffic to your site and convince more visitors to buy or sign up! Make sure you have a compelling message that speaks to your primary audience and offers a clear call to action - a promotion, free analysis, free trial, etc. - something of value that invites the user to contact you for more information or to make a purchase.
Phase VI
Link Popularity Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important." We recommend increasing the amount of “important’ links to your site from non-competing but relevant web sites. WARNING: Stay away from link exchanges or link farms! They will HURT your rankings more than they will help.
Summary
Because your site is not properly optimized to achieve top rankings among the search engines, your site is missing a considerable amount of traffic from consumers searching online to buy the type of products / services that your company offers.
We recommend you implement the proper solutions to each phase in this report. Doing so would quickly improve your search engine rankings on Yahoo!, Google, AOL, MSN and other search engines, guaranteed.

I'm curious: was this analysis an automated thing, or did someone actually get back to you after doing the analysis? If it's automated, then I question the validity of them saying your site is not optimized, blah blah blah, because I'd rather trust a human telling me that. How are your rankings now?
I don't disagree with what they've said here, although they cleverly worded it to cause alarm and hopefully gain your business. But that's all right, I just looked at those words more carefully because that's one of my triggers to look for.

I did get a response about a few hours after I submitted the report, at about midnight EST. I was wondering if it was automated as well. I really dont know.
How about one of you submit for a report and see how similar it is to mine? I used www.etrafficjams.com. Please let us know your results.

Ahh, in that case, my vote is for "automated". I'd rather not submit my site to them, but since you've already done it, I'm wondering if you'd get the same response if you submitted your site again. If so, that would confirm it.
All in all, go with your gut. If you feel they can help you, then go for it, just read the fine print. I'd be interested in reading what others in this forum have to say about this, too.

well, i got a different result. I do not get a free anylysis. I instead got a hard sale.
a sale person emailed me 2 pdf.
1. few samples of keywords they achieve for clients.
2. a quotation of the service they are offering.
i do not know whether this can be automated since they have my website name embedded in PDF documents. also, some related keywords are mentioned in the PDF.
I am better not to post since they stated that it's non-disclosure.

LOL that site is very funny,
I would have to say that if a real person prepared that information
they sure never checked my domain. The keyword list i sent
i am already first for on google and yahoo.
Fantastic job on the automated response system, looks like it builds a doc
file then puts your info in. Pulls the google PR from a script, etc.
I got just about the identical letter you posted above
