Hi, we mostly used alt tag. But I would like to ask all of members, is "Alt" a "tag"?

If you believe that "alt" is tag, so let me explain the definition of "Tag".

I use the phrase "alt tag", but I think strictly it's an attribute because it modifies the <image> tag.

Alt Tag is used as alternative for images means a text for an image or to describe a image and useful in SEO part so that SE spiders can easily read our image and our content for an image.

Hi Amit my meant is that what is "Alt", Tag or something other. We have known it as a "Tag". But why we called it tag. I think this is not tag, this is a attribute of an image.
What do you say about it?

Exactly it is an attribute of image but we call it tag in a sense that "it is tagged to the image"
