I have found several keyword domain names that are available for one of my companies. I picked up a few yesterday and plan to get more. What would be the best way to utilize these, should I just redirect or forward them all to my main URL or should I put content on them and have them link back to my main URL. Also, should I have them all on different hosts so they have different IPs or can my current host set it up so they have different IPs (so they all count higher as backlinks).

Forwarding them seems wasteful - better to set them up on a small site to link back to yours.

One of the most efficient ways to do this is to set up a blog on the KW domain, and host it on a separate server to your main site (to prevent immediate devaluation of the backlinks by IP block).

However, of course, this is only really an efficient method for one or two keyword domains. Effectively, if you have many, you are faced with having to host many new sites relating to your business.

Of course, if you are willing to put the time and energy in then it could theoretically really pay off - but most likely, a good SEO can do it better, simply because they have the expertise and specialist knowledge - not to mention experience - or doing so.

If you'd like to find out more about the topic, there's an article here that covers it fairly basically:
