I have had so many problems with my website, somedays I wonder if it's worth the hassle at all..
Anyway, this is the latest problem I am facing.
Google had problems with my site because it considered http://domain.com
and http://www.domain.com as 2 different sites so I set up a 301 redirect through .htaccess.
Google now visits and indexes my site but MSN doesn't
I used to have 40+ pages on page 1 or 2 for my keywords. Now I just have 1 page and it's not my index.html page either.. it's some random hidden page.
I have a a HTML sitemap on every page and loads of backilinks.
What is going on? Is it just a matter of waiting?

I also have a question about GOOGLE!
Why is it that if I look at my cached page in Google it shows a higher PR than if I check the PR as normal?
Is this a sign that my PR might go up or is it unimportant?

BTW How much is www.domain.com worth?

With regards to your redirects, time will tell what will happen on MSN. You may want to post your redirect here so that we can check to see if it's good.

With regards to the PR when you checked the cached page, that's not your PR. That's the PR of google cache page.

So does that mean that at the point Google cached my page I had a higher PR, as far as I am aware, it's PR2 today, it was PR2 Yeaterday and last week and even last year.
It doesn't seem to make any difference how many quality backlinks I get my PR never moves..

Hi,
I'm not sure what you mean by "hidden page", you should definitely explain a bit more on what you mean by hidden.

You need high PR links to get high homepage PR - but even that's not enough sometimes. Also the timing of the redirect could be important if you did it after a PR update and your different domains had different home page PR. I'd stick with the redirect though.

In any case, you say you had top rankings for 40 keywords, so maybe PR isn't such an issue for you anyway.

Keep chipping away!

Cheers,
Paz.

No. It has nothing to do with your page or site - it's google's PR, not yours.
