When we submit the site in major search engines and directories..like google,dmoz and msn, Is it required to submit it in the smaller search engines and directories?

It's always good practice to submit your site to as many quality directories as you budget and time allow. Depending upon your niche there can be a few out there that are worthwhile that are free or very inexpensive.

dont spend your time submitting to search engines, whether they're big or small. They'll find your site if you have enough links pointing towards it.
