I've been trying to figure out what's up with my site. I have a site that sells portable sound systems. I'm ranking very well with some of my specific keywords such as: Megavox, an-130, an-1000x, and xtr6000. But for my more broad keywords such as: portable sound systems and Anchor Audio I'm no where to be found. For Anchor Audio I have a high allinanchor: . Seo Guy said that maybe I had too much Anchor Audio wording in my text I've since changed that. Does any one else have an opinion?

If you optimize your text and you have great allinanchor:, shouldn't everything be peachy?

I have learned a valueable lesson in this though. Specific keywords seem to bring buyers who know what they are looking for and are interested in buying. I wasn't even focusing on specific keywords until I started getting customers calling because they were finding me under specific keywords in Google.

Too funny, TP page at #2 for anchor audio.

Is your's a new page? Patience/persistance is key. Get a few more links with anchor audio" anchors and you'll be there (not very competitive) but you're only showing the DMOZ link.

#2 for Anchor Audio isn't me. It's Anchor Audio. They are the manufacturer. But It's cool that people think that I'm them. And as for only having dmoz for my only back link, I'm in a few more directories that have a PR of 5 or more so they just haven't showed up yet. I look at my competition and they don't have very many back links at all some seem to have none, yet they rank high in for the keyword anchor audio. But is that what I need more "anchor audio" in my back link anchors?

"But is that what I need more "anchor audio" in my back link anchors?" Yea.

I was laughing because the number two result is a traffic power page. You're right about your lack of competition. Maybe when the directories kick in it'll be enough.

I'd appreciate it if you'd keep an eye on it and then repost when you start to see some good movement (looking at the time between sbmission and actually effecting your placement) do you use the term "anchor audio" in your link text to a specific page?
