Hello,

Our website has been around for 3 years. We were ranked 2nd on google, before the dreaded Nov 2003 update. Our pagerank is 4/10, and we have directory links in yahoo, and dmoz.

Keywords: Glow Sticks, Glow Necklaces, Body Lights.

We currently rank number 31st for glow necklaces.
20th, 23rd, 24th for body lights.

We have a site map, http://www.premierglow.com/allprods.php, and have been working on backlinks through our links page.

How can we improve our ranking. I would like to rank in the top 10 for each keyword.

something you should try is to get more backlinks with "glow sticks" in the anchor text. Here's an example html code if you're not sure what I mean:

<a href="http://www.premiergow.com">Glow Sticks</a> - Get glow sticks at Premeir Glow.

If you copy and paste that into dreamweaver it will show up as the two words "Glow Sticks" and they will be clickable.

You are on page 11 of allinanchor: glow sticks which means there are about 100 sites that have more backlinks with that as the anchor text. If you where in the top few spots it would most likely boost your rankings considerably.

Try to mix them up a bit, use Glow Sticks, and then Body Lights as well as Glow Necklaces. The more you get the better, even from Directories. Just use your keyword as the website name when submitting your link.

Great Post SEO Kid google loves backlinks with anchor text relevent to the Search Terms you want to increase. If they are going for more text links I would use that exact link and would switch it up once and a while, using other keywords so it gives a bunch of variations with the spiders crawl.

Thanks Wrocka, Google sure does love the backlinks, but Msn and Yahoo are starting to do the same. Yahoo even shows all of the backlinks it finds when you type in linkdomain:yoursite.com which is nice.
