http://www.seo-guy.com/seo-tools/google-pr.php I know thats dumb name but Im not quite finished it yet so It gets that name for now :-)

You can check your PR with that tool without the need for the Google toolbar, you can also find really good link partners by searching for sites with only above "x" pagerank for any given keyword.

I am adding webrank for yahoo to the tool as well as having it report both rankings on yahoo and Googe

Let me know if you have any suggestions for further refinement, the hard part was reverse engineering the Checksum but now adding features will be easy

Enjoy

Hi Morgan - love the tool - BRILLIANT for finding good link partners. However it works very slow for me - I am on a modem. Around 2-3 minutes for search to complete for a 20 page depth---------not complaining - its worth the wait

20 pages, wow! not surprised lol I will take a look at how I can improve this. How does it perform at say 5 pages?

5 pages...........around one minute .......... also see the screen with all the wording on the way.....so obviously its okay if you dont go too deep

However it takes two hours to contact all the good leads.......

Also it took a full day to get 2 x 5PR links and 1 x 6PR........ :D Thanks!

Morgan
I ran some tests on this tool and I guess that I really need to ask a question...

When you set the 'Page Depth' does that mean just the page that is indexed is checked for page rank?

A question even deeper is...

When I ran a test on my keyword phrase 1 page deep with a PR5 or higher, I came up with the following results...

1 at PR6
1 at PR7
3 at PR8
1 at PR9

Would this mean that if I go with a PageRank channeling of my index page and it eventually gets to a PR6 or above, I should rank well in the keyword search?

I hope these questions help out others that use the tool as well so that's why I'm asking.

BTW - it took me about 10 seconds with PR5 at 10 pages and about 5 seconds with PR5 at 1 page.

Thanks Again...

The tools reports any sites with only the PR or higher that you set in the "pagerank" field. The pages depth (Which I will change to "page depth") says how many pages to crawl to look for any sites with "x" PR or above that are ranking for the term and finally we report the actual ranking for each term that is reported.

Its pretty good for finding link partners that are relevant, have high PR and obviously google thinks highly of them because they are ranking in the top 100 for your keyword

It still has some bugs but we will get them worked out
Cheers

Found a few problems with this - it isn't getting pr correctly for dynamic pages with ampersands in the url

eg try searching for 'rampant rabbit' for 10 pages and no pr limit

Hi Morgan,

That's a really cool tool!

If you don't mind some feedback, here some ideas...

- make the links on the results page live (clickable, target="_blank")

- Add additional info about the site in the results page (if possible) like:

- Alexa rank (on results page)

- site owners email address (can be extracted from Alexa or WHOIS... or by placing a link to Alexa information next to results)

- WHOIS information (link to WHOIS information)

Then you have not only a cool tool, but an extremly cool tool! :D

You are the man, Morgan...
The tool is too useful for me to analyse good site to link with.
Thank you so much.
