How can one determine if forum threads are spidered or not?

For example, is this one?:

http://forums.wakeboarder.com/

By the way, for anyone interested in Ham, GMRS, FRS, and other types or radios, I found out by accident that this forum is spidered:

http://www.popularwireless.com/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi

one way is to check the cache in google of the page via the google toolbar, another way is to simply do a site:http://www.seo-guy.com (Replace with the forum Url) to see if the pages are getting spidered

I’m sorry but I do not understand what you mean here. I do have google toolbar.

Actually, I think I figured out what you meant by “check the cache in google of the page via the google toolbar”:

I clicked on the “I” button and then clicked on “Cashed Snapshot of Page”.

But when I tried this on several of the older pages at http://www.realestatewebmasters.com I always got the message that “Your search - cache:http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/*page*.html- did not match any documents” and I thought that this was one of the forums that was spidered. In fact it was on this forum that I learned of the idea of including keyword links in the signature to get increased PR.

However, this did work at:

BTW, I tried the above on some older threads on this site and it did work.

So now I have some additional questions:

I spend time in forums of all types; chess, ham radio, mountain biking, politics, wake boarding, skiing, and so on. Since I am spending time in forums anyway, it would seem to make sense that I should at least look for active forums in which I can have keyword links in my signature and where the threads are spidered. Is there a way to search for such forums?

Someone on a wake board forum told me that http://www.realestatewebmasters.com is running under vBulletin, as would it seem is this one. When I go to their site at http://www.vbulletin.com/links.php there are thousands of links to forums using their program but it is not searchable. Is there another source for such information?

Are there programs other than vBulletin which create forums which are spidered? If so, what are they?
