I hate to tell you folks but your dreamy facination of computers in jail and making money while locked up, well I hate to crush your ideals but sorry no computers in jail. On a rare and I mean VERY RARE ocasion there might be a law library on disc to look at but thats it. What the hell do you think jail is, it is not that great place they show on the sopranos where the folks eating steaks and wearing comfy silk work out suits. Hey get real freakin real its jail. You are told when you can use the toilet and when to go to bed and when to get up. Trust me I know, Stop whatching so much T.V.

Oh gee, you mean the Sopranos isn't real? Damn. It was always like that when I was in jail, both here and in Texas. Nice silky PJs, but we didn't get steaks. We had to eat seafood; salmon, shrimp and stuff. :rolleyes:

here in my jail we bought a very powerful wirless hot-spot which is placed on a bowling arena, 900 metres from here.
we managed to get very light laptops (dell's latitude x200) which we have only at night (only at our rooms). we do a very nice living with seo solutions via email, ranking reports, web-research, link-building, pinging ppc for overture :p , stuff - YaaAKNOW...

That actually depends on where you live :)
In Norway, which is my country of origin, they REALLY do give convicts internet. Furthermore, they get free education if they want, TV in their rooms, and from documentaries about Norwegian jails I've seen on TV (Where they visited convicts in their actual "cells"), it turned about to be a nice and cosy room with pictures on the wall and stuff! I once had a friend who went to jail because of various unpaid bills...When I asked him when he came out after couple of months if he was happy to be out again, he actually told me "I don't really care...I had a good time there!" He could exercise, use computers etc. Hell, they even GET PAID while staying there!!

Once there even was one convict who got himself an education as lawyer while sitting in jail!! LOL!
