Hi Irish, was just about to say you should be on your way up.. one sec I'd like to take a look through the serps.

hhmmm one thing I would suggest, decrease the size of your title, like "Claddagh rings - claddagh wedding rings" something like that, then you get points for almost all of your terms, then get back links for the others.
seokid

Maybe also change your headers from claddagh ring for wedding to claddagh wedding rings.

hahah sorry for all the mini posts.. just another thought I can't seem to find a link to that page from the index, you could boost the pr of that page by doing so unless I just can't see it.

Irish Lady, don't you know that you can just come ask me whenever you need some seo advice? I'm seriously hurt :(

Hi Seokid - thanks for the tips - I will take you up on them.
SEO Bob - I know that I can ask you for advice - however then I would be emailing you all the time and you would soon be sick of me!!
You see I save the juicy reallllll important advice for you Bob - like how the hell do I get my site No. 1 for Celtic jewelry - No. 7 at the moment - I have some competitionwith more backlinks that are higher than me - but also one or two where
I beat them on backlinks and PR. Also I was no. 6 years (very proud) then an Ebay store jumped in in that place. I should do some work on my Ebay store as well maybe!

OH OH can I play can I play!
Change "New Products" link anchor to "New Celtic Jewelry"
Make your logo 123Celtic IRish Jewelry a link to itself with an alt="Celtic Jewelry"
dont forget the border="0" so you dont get an ugly blue link around it.
Make the images in the center links with respective alts for their destinations
From left to right
Left pic links to http://123celtic-irish-jewelry.com/wedding.asp alt="celtic wedding rings"
Center Pic links to http://123celtic-irish-jewelry.com/necklaces.asp alt="Celtic Necklaces"
Right pic links to http://123celtic-irish-jewelry.com/Brooches.asp alt="Celtic Brooches"
Change anchor of "about us" to "about 123 Celtic Irish Jewelry"
Change contact anchor to "Contact 123 Celtic Irish Jewelry"
Under "Web promotion by SEO Guy" place a disclaimer something like
All Celtic Jewelry and Irish Jewelry designs and information is Copyright 2004 123-Celtic-Irish-Jewelry (http://123-Celtic-Irish-Jewelry.com)

Yes that last link, is a link to yourself and also tone down your meta kw's tag. It should be specific to the page your targeting not a huge group of kw's that are covered across the entire site.
Good luck and dont forget to support ma SERPS (http://www.seo-guy.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1017#post1017) campaign muahaha

There is a small error on your homepage my dear. The last link 123celtic-irish-jewelry.com is broken. There is a "hyphen" in the URL where there should not be one :)
Any thanks for the link ;-)
morgan
04-16-2004, 11:36 AM
Opps I want to revise that the link should be http://123celtic-irish-jewelry.com but the anchor text should have the added hyphen that way its seperates 123 and celtic so that you get the credit for "celltic"
:)

Thansk for the observation Morgan. Also thanks SEOkid for the advice on the claddagh ring page. After doing your updates all Keyword went up a good bit

Claddagh rings 82 - then 70 - now 60
Claddagh wedding ring 23 - then 16 - now 10
Claddagh wedding rings 29 - then 27 - now 19
Claddagh meaning 1 and 2 - still holding
Claddaugh ring was 9999 - then 83 - now 69

Great to see my friend, still some work yet to do but nice to see your moving up.
Another suggestion although more time consuming is writing support articles for your main product sections. Things that may be useful or interesting to your users.
That index of links would contain your kw and be all interlinked within the section for example on the http://123celtic-irish-jewelry.com/claddagh.asp page I would create articles to:
"What is Claddagh Jewelry?"
"The history of Claddagh"
"Our claddagn Jewelry making Process"
Just suggestions I know you will have better ones as you know a lot more about your products. Then those articles all link to each other and the main Claddagh product page. Should improve your rankings considerably.

One other thing on your index page your link achor is wrong still, you fixed the link part but the anchor text was supposed to be kept 123 Celtic Irish Jewelry (With a space between 123 and celtic) so that your going for the world "celtic" not the word "123celtic" which isnt really a word anyways.
Link code is <A href="http://123celtic-irish-jewelry.com/">123 Celtic Irish Jewelry</a>

Hi Morgan - thanks again! I have done this now with two pages
"What is Claddagh Jewelry?"
"The history of Claddagh"
I have interlinked as suggested but did'nt go too overboard on the
keywords!
Thanks for your encouragement..... of course the SERPS (http://www.serps.seo-guy.com/) knocked me back a
good few today...........ah sure... I'll get back up there! :)

i have to say...i am not a big fan of domain names like this.
it does nothing for the branding of the site or business.
it also has a 'lower integrity' connotation associated with it.
its the whole '123' thing in addition to the use of multiple hyphens in the name that creates this very 'internetty'...sales driven...over seod site feel.
i also find it odd that in the about section...you say...'we at 123 celtic...have over 15 years in the sales and distribution....."
this statement just doesnt make a lot of sense since the company name is so 'internet based'. i cant imagine you came up with this company name 15 years ago. so the integrity you are attempting to create by saying 'in business for 15 years' is negated by relating it to a new 'internetty' sounding business name. it also makes me think that you have another 100 domains set up to do the same thing with other such '123' names for your jewelry company. whether this is true or not doesnt matter...its just not a good feeling i get from it.

Are you picking on my girlfriend ZOO? She buys me beers ya know ;-)
I think the statement "We at 1-2-3 Celtic Irish Jewely have over 15 years in the sales and distribution of Celtic and Irish jewelry and our integrity in business is your guarantee of total satisfaction. Our customers satisfaction is our success. You can see what some of our customers have said about us"
Is not really misleading as this business may well have been in business long before they had a web presense was established which really is a storefront, not a bricks and mortar stock which they well may have.
I think the fact they give thier registered business name, statement of incorporation and even company # adds validity to their page.
It would be different if I said I've been in the search engine optimization business for 20 years lol

buisness may well have been in business lol note to self turn down all copywriting jobs YOU SUCK SEO GUY!
Heh.
Oh yeah and as for the domain name, I think its a case of harmless decisions based on trendy advise and I can honestly say that she doesnt have a thousand other domains out there in some sort of market capture scheme cause I have access to her
backend <<<<<This bit of copywriting is even worse lol
A lot of times such decisions are made based on what it seems everyone else is doing especially when your new to the web however Irish lady im sure doesnt need me to defend her domain choice :_)
However you make an excellent point about branding and domain choice though. If I could do it all over again I think I would have gone with www.seoguy.com instead of SEO-Guy because at the time I was more concerned with the SEO then I was with branding and although not a huge spammy looking domain in my case I would still have (If I started today) gone with www.seoguy.com

first of all...no attack here...hopefully someone posting for a site review wants to hear all opinions and will not take any too personally. this is not intended to be an attack of any kind.
now......i missed the 'uniquely irish limited' statement.
i did look for something like that.
all i can say now is....why didnt they choose 'that' name for the domain?
secondly...why didnt they also buy 'that' domain name either way?
and third....i cant believe its still available...i guess i am going to have to buy it and make a nice profit selling it back to them. :)
in light of all of this...my comment still stands about the domain name.
its benefits for seo do not outweigh the loss of ground in the branding arena.
my comment about the "15 years in business" statement is that if this company is so concerned about presenting a solid and timetested reputation on the web...then they would have not chosen the domain name that they did.

Was just playing with ya ZOO was accusing of attacking ;-) We take things far less seriously here then at some other forums :-) I was just trying to get her to buy me more beer :-)
Irish lady you may wanna hop on that domain name before Zoo does lol and RE: the domain name, I think I said in my last post that I agree with you, but if I didnt I'll say it now, I agree with you :-)

Hi Morgan and Zooo.
Firstly - glad its now official that I'm your girlfriend Morgan - about time!
Secondly - Zoo I am honoured that you took so much time looking around my site!
Third - Yes I totally agree that my name sucks (my site name that is - I am quite fond of the name Deirdre)..... As Morgan said this was the SEO advice we received at the time (not from Morgan - we were'nt an item way back then) - when I did not even know what SEO stood for.
Fourth - the web name Uniquely-Irish is no longer available - grabbed it
Fifth - I would'nt know where to start trying to set up all again with a new domain name even the thought of if sends shivers down by spine - maybe when I get braver I should do it
Finally - will definetly do more work on this page you looked at - cant remember the last time I even seen it - it looks awful!
Thanks for all your help!
