Video Game Site - Any help appreciated

Hello,

I am the webmaster of a site about the Tomb Raider PC games. I used to be lost somewhere near #50 in the searches for "tomb raider" . Now I am #24 , but I am aiming for the second page anyway.

I have the word Tomb Raider three times in my title. I am not sure, but I think it's too much. Could someone confirm that for me please? I My page rank is 5, soon to be 6, because I just got a page rank 7 link. Any tips appreciated, because I don't seem to be getting much further, no matter how I change my page.

Yes I think 3 times is to much perhaps try

"Tomb Raider 4U Lara Croft Pictures and Tomb Raider Cheats"

Its tomb raider only twice and seperated for proximity.

That and a few more backlinks with "Tomb raider" as the anchor text and you should hit the second page no poblem.

Also because you have cheats on your site you might want to hit up http://www.gamezone.com/affiliate/index.htm they do affiliate content exchange and its a kick butt backlink for relevance in the gaming world

Well, I did what you told me to do and it seems I am on the second page, number 18-19 I think. My backlinks dropped in the last update, from 92 to 52 and I have no idea why. Is google ditching directories or something?

Also, the link I got from the PR7 page (apple by the way) did not increase my page rank, although it shows up in the backlinks. The number of links on that page is not that huge. Can I hope that it will increase in the next update? Because it appears to me this update was a bit earlier.

I got a back link from them and my site is indexed, there backlink helps but the traffic sent is much more important to me. (About 1500 uniques a day)

Wow! I made it to the first page and my trafic has doubled! Thank you for the help!

Any ideas on how to get higher? Because most of the sites higher than me have pr5 whereas I have a pr6. Maybe I should put keywords closer to the top and put all the code in java files?

Any suggestions?
