Hi Everyone:
I own a small hotel in Costa Rica, only been around less than a year, and I was engaging in DIY SEO, webdesign and housekeeping. I've gotten my pagerank to 5, have backward links of 29, and I am not in the top 100 for my keywords. A competitor has a rank of 4 with 5 backlinks and is in the top ten.

Very discouraging. I am about to throw in the towel and outsource.

Any words of encouragement?

Fawlty, Pagerank is not everthing and if your a hotel website then in can be a very tough battle but we are happy to help. Waht is the keyword your specifically referencing that your not in the top 100 for?

Thanks for your reply. I would love to be found for Costa Rica hotels, but let's be happy with just "Manuel Antonio Hotels". The interesting thing is that after yahoo did their big crawl we came up number 10 but google is not impressed and we are not in the top 100 for that keyword phrase.
