Hi,

I launched a site about 1 1/2 months ago (you can check it at http://www.spanish-time.com.ar), and did some submissions to google, yahoo, and the main directories, but only as free submissions. The site has not appeared yet in the search engines, not even in the last place!

Is it too soon? Also, I was thinking of adding links in my other sites to this new one (in the sites that are already listed in the engines), but I don't want the links to be visible. Is it possible to add links that do not have texts in them, like:

<a href="http://www.spanish-time.com.ar"></a>

Almost like a named anchor -just without the name-? Will the spiders take these links into account? Or will my new site be banned for this?

Thank you!
Andres

All you need to do to be indexed in the search engines is to work on getting some links pointing to you - don't worry too much about submissions.

Actually, most likely the link here on the forum will end up getting you indexed eventually.

Anyways - find your target keywords and start looking for links. A reciprocal link campaign of some sort would help, and if you put up a industry specific directory on your site, once it's indexed you can always look into the link exchange forum here.

It does not hurt to do an addurl, but it is not necessary for getting indexed as SEO Bob said.

Hi,

1. Get some good backlinks.
2. Use signature field in the forums with your Anchor Text and Link"

I have seen that links from a good forum will tempt search engines to crawl the site ( mainly google).

As a first step use the signature field in this forum.
