Hi there,
My SEO campaign is gaining ground! Could you tell me if the following placed in the html code of a friends site, would have any benefit for my site from a SE point of view.

Thanks

Things between <!-- ... --> are considered as remarks for HTML, so they should not count.

I sure wouldn't think so. Like jocelyn says, that is only for remarks. If it did matter, we could ahv a lot of fun with many remarks with keywords, link that don't show, etc.

It does not hurt, but that is considered a comment and will not be much help.

IT might now hurt but it CERTAINLY will not help, we tested comment tags over a year ago and also as recently as 3 months ago.
On the negetive, if you use to many comments (Especially if you are keyword loading) then you will be seen by other SEO's and webmasters as a spammer and it can hurt your linking effort.
I never link to anyone with comment spam
