View Full Version : Purchasing Text Links

I just happen to click on a Google ad while in the SEO Forum. What do the seo masters think of purchasing links from link brokerage sites? Textlinkbrokerage.com is what caught my eye. Also found linkadage.com. Has anyone used these? Could they be worthwhile to jump start a new site just until some substantial, quality links can be established?

Hello Stormin, I have never used any of those link brokerages so I cannot comment on that. I would suggest you carry out the link campaign yourself as:
1) Its cheaper, most link brokers only offer a link price for a month which doesnt help in the long run unless you keep paying for it.
2) Your keywords are not the most competitive and you have a great domain name, I think following the advice on this forum you could get a good ranking.
Your competitor at number one for the phrase "nuts and bolts" has 15 times as many links as you that google has found and their website really isnt about nuts and bolts. Start submitting to directories and carry out a reciprocal link exchange campaign and I am sure you will rise up the rankings.
Other than that you can always pay a SEO company to carry out your link campaign.

IMHO, People who have done targeted advertisements do well, it is your choice to choose the right broker with a large inventory. I am sure you will not miss my signature ;)

Be careful purchasing links. PR hasn't updated for almost 3 months. You don't know what PR they really have.

Stay away from Textlinkbrokerage.com.

Hey eCommando. Had difficulty linking to your site. After 30 minutes I gave up. Do you require a link to be on the first page only? Kept getting "code not entered exactly" even though it was.

I haven't used Textlinkbrokerage.com but have use these guys:
automated-links-exchange.com and my rank has gone up from not top 1000 in google to 20 and doing very well in yahoo too.
My guess is very small company, but for the price, its worth the risk...

Yea WilliamC IS a scam artist more then a business man lol. I have seen fights in forums with him and other members. I saw this one post by him saying SEO Guy asked for a link exchange and WilliamC got all mad and was ready to slap SEO Guy. I felt like kicking WilliamC in the rear end after he said that. SEO Guy can beat his little ___ up anyday.
Why would he ever use his 7 year old son for a Testimonial is beyond me lol.

and have anyone seen the WilliamC vs. John Scott fighting. Dang it looks kinda like a war going on between the 2. I personaly think John Scott is a good man and what WilliamC says is BS about him. WilliamC is such a jerk and I will always defend people I trust such as SEO Guy and John Scott.
SEO Guy have you had problems with WilliamC before?

Back to buying links:
Be careful purchasing links. PR hasn't updated for almost 3 months. You don't know what PR they really have.
I've been sent a couple of links that have been advertised for sale... PR8 with months old cache, PR7 no cache.... I don't know why anyone would buy sight unseen in this climate especially.
Regarding any brawls... I got a buck on Jocelyn's muscle chick avatar! (smiley here)

I would not buy links when it's been 3 months without PR update (If they are bought for PR of course).
The muscle chick would ask her boyfriend if she loses...

That does not explain anything actually. If you read the whole thread you will see there is not a single actual customer of http://www.textlinkbrokerage.com
There are only comments by people who have hidden agendas and from several people who are listening to those people. There are a few posts by anons who refuse to substantiate anything at all also.
Notice how that thread is almost a month old and they do not have one single actual customer complaining?
I would suggest you go to http://www.webworkshop.net/seoforum and ask what actual customers think of our services before getting the wrong idea based on slander/libel.

Please post a link to this to substantiate, it should be comical reading if true.

Now it's a my dad can beat up your dad thing? Grow up.

good question. I haven't the foggiest. Why don't you ask JS, he is widely known for making things up when it comes to bashing someone he dislikes. But hey, I suppose the only person out there named cristian is my new wifes son.

woah! Interesting post we have here :D
For the record (Although its cool that people defend me) I have no problem with WillC and certainly don't want to beat him up :useforce:
I dont even really know him, but I will say that from what I have seen from his posting that he does make an attempt to substantiate his posts with hard evidence as opposed to mud slinging - perhaps just more advanced mud slinging hey Will ;)
I can't see the forum post that peeps are referencing and it doesnt really matter, the only reason I'm chiming in here, is because I dont want to get grouped with certain people who have problems with other people. I respect the knowlege base that both John Scott and WillC have demonstrated from the few things I have read from them so just want to make sure opinions expressed in this thread are certainly not representative of myself.

WillamC it's hard to trust anyone these days with all the fake SEO Forums going on. I know you are well knowen but I don't talk with you enough to fully trust you. No offence.
Now SEO Guy I fully trust since I do talk with him a bit and been around his forum for a long time.
When I was saying "SEO Guy can beat his little ___ up anyday." I was refering to serps. I have not seen your link site for terms like SEO, Link Building, etc. I know you run an Adwords Campaign but I don't count paid Google Ad's as part of serps at all.

Hehe thanks for popping in seo :)
No idea where he got the idea that we have bashed each other tho, which is why I asked for a link to it :P
Guys, honestly, do not rely on the musings of someone with a personal vendetta against me. That has nothing to do with business at all. Ask my customers as they are really the only ones who can tell you.

Well I read on a forum sometime ago but it's been so long I can't remember where I found it. I think you posted it though.
Sorry for slammin on ya WilliamC. I just get kinda tough when others beat each other down.
The stuff between you and JS kinda gets to me but yea everyone has issues at some point. I think instead you and JS should say "Lets not bitch at each other but just say I dis-like you or something a bit more nicer"
I personly have no problems with each one of you but just the fighting just sometimes throws me off.

I dont count them either, but they do well enough until you do hit the serps. We do a bit of link building for our sales site, but as I expect you can understand, we dont use the networks of sites we have to build the sales sites rankings as that would just give a solid way of tracking what sites we sell links off. So it is slowly going up for our keywords, which btw do not include seo, etc, but concentrate more on link specific keywords at this point. IE: first page for quality text link ads.
