Hi All,

We have recently launched a new website www.modern-rugs.co.uk

The site uses frames and query strings in the URL's (built with an online site builder) which I know the search engines don't like, but I heard that they can now cope with them.

However, to try and optimise the site I added a HTML page on the front of the main site containing my keywords - mainly 'rugs' and 'modern rugs'.

The site has just been indexed although the ranking is not very good. I am working on a link building campaign at the minute though.

Just wanted to get some feedback - is there anything Iam doing wrong or should be doing? or is it just down to the link building now to get a high ranking for our keywords?

You know what, try to get rid of the frames. I never ranked until I removed them and made a SSI (Server Side Include) menu system to make it easy to manage the navigation system. So save yourself some work.

If you decide to use the SSI solution, you do not have to rename all your files to shtml... you just make their extension Server Parsed in Cpanel, if you have an apache hosting.
