Backlinks Updates

Because I am waiting for a google update, I have been looking at my backlinks frequently. As you all know the # hasnt changed because there has been no update yet but the order has changed. Is there any significance to the order backlinks are displayed?

I am seeing a heavy crawl by googlebot since last few days and lot of updates in serp. Backlink updates is just few days away

i saw a very heavy search on the 14th and 16th September

I get heavily crawled consistently, but one oddity is that one of my sites has been completely crawled 4 times in the last week (the 4th going on right as I type this). It gets deepcrawled often, but not like this....not multiple times so close together.

Chasing google and staying on Top of SEO is crucial to sucess of any business. What do you guys do to promote your sites (not including SEO)

One thing I do is put a button 'Home Page' that opens IE and plugs to my site, in all the softwares I make. Lots get downloaded from download sites and visitors don't see my site. But as soon as they wanna see the instruction manual, verify for a software update, use the web page button... they end-up on my site. Other than this... nothing much...
