The Site is geared towards online loans. I would like to attract people interested in car loans so therefore I am trying to optimise the main page for "Car Loans"

I see that your navigation bar at the top has all of the main sections on the site. Instead of just Home, why not have it read Loans Home or something with your keywords present in it, that is valuable anchor text you are not using.

Add a sitemap and link to every page on your site, then link to the sitemap from every page on your site. Its a good way to present all the links on your site to the search engines in one easy page.

Looking through the code on the site, I see that you have used keywords for the names of the folders which holds the images on the site - LoansLoansLoans_files/ IMO might be over cooking it a little.

Add more content - a glossary section, a great way to add lots of relevant pages to the site. Make sure that you link to it from other pages on your site when needed, this will also help out with the usability of the site.

Car loans is one hell of a tough market online, anything financial is so the only way you are going to make any improvements in this industry is with link building... and lots of it. Hit all of the free directories then all of the paid for directories. After that its down to the good ol' link building - emailing people who you think will want to link to you, either a reciprocal link or if you can a one way link.

Good luck though, I have worked on clients in the car loans market and real its competitive (in the UK at least).
