I spent the lst few eeks doing research on SEO Con artists for an article I am working on on search engine optimization scams.
I looked further into SEO Guy and I want to retract my earlier comments.
It appears the SEO Guy does quality work and none of the sites he optimizes get penelized by the search engines.
Therefore I want to publically apologize to the SEO Guy for my remarks.
There are few quality SEOs out there and SEO Guy is one of them.
I will compile a list of good SEOs and Nasty ones for my site to help people obtain quality SEOs without fear their sites will get penalized.
So far I have received 17 reports on 5 SEOs from clients of SEOs I have contacted.
I did not find ANY complains against SEO Guy but I did find 4 very happy clients of his.
Once again, I am sorry I pre-judged you SEO Guy.

I must say that you show respect posting this... not every body would do this. Like any business, there will always be customers that are not happy. It's the % of happy/pissed that gives a success rate. I accepted to be moderator here because I've been reading him for a long time and he is an excellent guy and not only for the SEO stuff.
Again, this was cool of you.

I am an objectivist and when I am wrong I say so and when credit is due it should be given.
I have 5 websites I need optimized and am hiring the SEO Guy to do the work on them.
So far I have contacted several so called SEOs and I was not happy with the run-around and indirect responses to my questions.
So I have reached my decision and I think SEO Guy has what it takes to do the jobs and I have full confidence.
It will be money well spent.

Are you the same person as PRBOT?
Your sig link is the same as he used. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but he was banned from this site as well as other forums.

Well Linkpal / max / PrBot / all those other names you have had, it is very big of you to appologise, however its not like you had any right to trash ANY of the people you do on forums, but that wasnt why you were banned from here. You were banned from here, because you spam your garbage website links on every post you make and are rude and obnoxious to everyone.
You are never welcome back here, or SEO Chat because of your behavior, however if you go appologize at the other offending forums perhaps you might save the ability to gain possible further respect online, right now though by busting onto the scene insulting everyone in your path without knowing them, or investigating them was very foolish and I would assume you have made many enemies and no friends. Not an envyable position. Give the forums a rest for a while kid, perhaps in a few years when you grow up, you might get welcomed back into the internet community.
Best of luck

I'd like to say thank you to the people who sent me a PM about this member. I missed it completely. This shows that you are concerned about this forum and keeping it clean from spam, flame throwers and other nuisance. Don't forget that you may also report these using the ! link on the upper right corner of the posts. This sends an email to all MODS of the forum.
ahh never noticed that up there... thanks joc

An other link beside the ! is a weight. This one is to rate a member. For example, I used it on you when you got flamed and did not turn around and do the same. You can see the comments in you PM section.
thanks joc, I didnt see that either... I will remember that, I've seen some good posts around here too. I think people def. should start getting credit around here

What does the point value mean? Is there some kind of scale?

Can't tell yet, did not get too many points. Last time was like 2 months I think.
Must be like the users titles.

Ho yeah, forgot to say. These ratings are anonymous. Unless you put your name in the comment, no way to tell who said good or wrong.

I hate to feel like a rat (and I know I wasn't the only one) but there is a defiant since of community :D on this forum. PRBot or whatever he called himself was really trying to deceive us and that is NOT RIGHT!
I have learned tons of information during the short time I have been a member. I appreciate the time, knowledge, and helpfulness other members provide.

Nobody likes it when the neighbor's dog shits on your lawn. You feel part and protect this community's interest by stating your feeling concerned and it's all to your honnor. No rat here, just a proud member!

thats one of the downfalls of having a forum that is anonymous to a point, people like him can create new users etc, I dont have a huge problem with it most of the time, just once and a while a spammer gets a bug up his butt for being banned and keeps trying to come back, they just give up after a while. I just hope this time his applogy stick and he doesnt go off to a bunch of forums bashing me again because his appology didnt get him back in to the forum {Shrug}

A sad note, here is PRbot's master plan I read it on JS's forum.
"Goog luck. You see, I register and post on about 50-100 forums per day until I finish all 5000 forums I have on the list and then I start on a list of another 4000 forums. Thus far I have posted in close to 1000 forums"
