One of our clients is having trouble getting their category and product pages indexed and more importantly ranked in Yahoo. They do very well in Google.
Some background: they have a Yahoo store and several other stores fronts. The other stores are category specific and drawing data from the main store which has multiple categories.
Yahoo has ranked the "affiliate" stores OK. But most of the marketing spend goes into the main store because of Google.
Does anyone know anything about how Yahoo is handling duplicate content, and or how good their bot is at figuring out which store is the home depot.
Is there a fix? Should the client suspend the affiliate stores and wait for Yahoo to sort it out? How long would that take?
Another option is Site Match. But the client doesn't want to have to do PPC if Yahoo sorts it self out and they start to rank where they should.
Any experience or guidance would be appreciated.
