Am I doing this right so far???

Hi Everyone,

First I'd like to say what a great forum and website this is, I've been following the guidelines and reading all posts for 3 days now and think I'm getting somewhere.

My website is http://www.bingo-girl.com and has been alive for about 10 weeks now. I wasn't concentrating greatly on seo to start with as I had been relying on Overture ppc which was working very well for me. As you probably know gambling terms are now banned on Overture ppc (and Goog adwords) which pushed me into needing to improve my seo.

Anyway...I've finished the home page and just really want to know whether I'm making any major errors, before I spend time doing all the other pages. The keywords I optimized for are : play bingo online, best online bingo, internet bingo. The main one is 'play bingo online'. My gut feeling is that I may have over-optimized for this search term?

I would be really, really grateful if anyone could have a look at my site and let me know if I'm doing ok.

Hi Zapcat, welcome to the forum! So far your onpage looks just fine, you have a lot of backlinks from relevant sites which is great. Just keep trying to promote your site through directories and getting more backlinks from relevant sites. Just try to mix up your backlink anchor text, with other words in there as well. the number one person for online bingo has over 900 links, and they seem to have lots of different text in their backlinks, like online bingo, and then bingo online next one is bingo website stuff like that, just try to keep them natural, what would other people use for anchor text if they where making the link. I think your site is great and you will do fine!

Thanks guys :) Glad I'm on the right track anyway...there's just so much information to take in !!!
I'd been concentrating on the key term 'play bingo online' in my link titles as I'd been told by someone else to continue getting links on that term until I was in a decent position for it on Google, then move on to a new term for links. Do you reckon this is not good advice?
