Have I just been under a rock or what? Has Yahoo changed all of its listings?

The green URL reads the actual site URL but the link in the listing is a rds.yahoo.com link, that then redirects to the proper URL.

What is the deal with this? Where are they getting thier listings from?

They are traking the URL clickthroughs. It is a known info since the beginning.
You can't do anything on this.

FYI, Google does the tracking invisibly.

BTW - does someone notice a change in the Yahoo rankink of the sites? one of my sites jumped 100 places up yesterday, and today it deteriorated to a lower position. Is there a chance for Yahoo change of Algo? or some kind of a dance? or is it just me?...

Ben, I noticed the same thing with Yahoo for a few KW's. From top 5 to off the map and back. It looks as if they've finally settled in the higher spots. I'd guess it's a glimpse of where you will be.

same here.

One site I was helping a friend with went to #2 from nowhere to be found. Nice movement, we noticed this on Sunday.

Now I see also Google doing that. It is shown only in part of the searches (maybe only part of the data centers are measuring clicks).

I've had a major Yahoo! breakthrough. I paid for Yahoo! directory inclusion about 3 months ago. I had a few good weeks then basically dropped off completely ( but still indexed).

This week, I've seen an incredible amount of Yahoo! traffic. And, the bot called " Mozilla Compatible Agent" in Urchin - which a few of us have concluded is the new Slurp has had more than 4500 unique 'sessions'. As for 'hits' the number is in the hundreds of thousands!

Also, my natural listings are nearly all within the top 5. My main keyword is: voice overs which is #3

Finally!

What is the break through? Do you think the directory submission was the reason? Or was it just the amount of traffic you're getting from their new bot?

Yahoo doesn't run algorithms, inktomi does.

xan - isn't it Yahoo! since they purchased Inktmoi and Overture? I think I heard them say it is a Yahoo! search from that moment, not Inktomi or anything else.
Anyway, what do you say about the sudden changes in Yahoo! ranking? Interactive had that. i had that (now I even dropped from 50 to nowhere!).
BTW - both of my big position changes, up to first ten and to nowhere, occured in the weekend. Is that just a coincidence - or are there algo changes in the weekend?

I can only suggest the break through is from the Yahoo! bot hitting hard recently. I have also created many more pages that weren't indexed before.
