Linkmarket.net it's free. but some people will argue that alot of unrelevant site request link exchange. So what, You can refuse it anyway. I have 1 relevant site request exchange a day. 1 relevant link a day and it's free.

I hate working on links-how do most people structure the cost of doing that? I'd really rather pay someone to do it for me. Seo guy, if you don't have any objections to posting it here, what does your company charge?

I also use linkmarket.net. I paid the $18 though so I can request unlimited exchanges for a year. I think it works pretty well, my only problem with it is people saying that they want to swap links, then I add theirs and they never add mine.

I just started trying linkalizer yesterday and got about 5 exchanges with it so far. They let you request 30 exchanges a day for free and you email each other with where you placed the other person's link, so it seems like there will be less problems with people not adding your link after you've added theirs.

we charge quite a bit, for a 20 hours per week campaign assuming you are in one of our verticals its $500 USD per month, but it all comes down to you get what you pay for right? http://www.seo-guy.com/link-popularity/ something I put together to explain the logic.

All are links managers that you may have seen around posting, they all work here in Nanaimo at the SEO Guy offices and are mandated to read this forum and many others to keep up to speed, and have the latest training.

I will say that for a company without a proven ROI it can be a costly mistake to go with our service as you have to make sure that once you get to the top you are going to make sales, but for companies (Even small ones like www.occasionallygifted.com) it certainly justifies the expense.

Occasionally gifted have been a client for over a year and to this day they still pay us $500 USD per month for our linking service, her case study can be found at http://www.seo-guy.com/seo-case-studies/gift-baskets-canada.html hope that helps

Is this correct? 20 hrs per week at 500 per month is only around 6 bucks an hour!!!! Surely you don't spend 20hrs a week on it for this much money? If you do I want to sign up NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do, but I think you have to be real good friends with those who own it to have access to it because it could be a big risk to their popularity if others knew they had it. So far I have not used any autospam software for sites I have worked on.

When I was newer to SEO (and rather ignorant to the web) I did a bit of the old manual spam, but stick away from it now as it is a bad call for branding.

Actually it is correct :-) We work based on volume I could never justify charging that much with one site as I pay my guys twice that per hour, but for us (As long as you fit in our vertical) the volume makes $.

You see we piggyback our linking so instead of mailing for sites individually we send a letter that says "pelase check out "all" of our relevant partners at

www.realestatewebmasters.com.linking.php or www.seo-guy.com/finance.html or whatever depending on the vertical and typically people link to all the sites and send back confirmation so lets say we have 6 people in the vertical, it takes less then 5 minutes per domain to copy paste and upload all the links for the partners to each of the sites so 30 mins per day uploading so its actually 3.5 hours in this situation that your linking code was mailed to relevant sites per day and the other .5 hour for that day was spent uploading all the links we got for the day to each site.

So each site has their directory updated every day, their linking code sent to relevant sites for 3.5 hours every day and our revenue in this situation is $3000 for the month, you see how the model works? I am paying less then $1500 in labor so the profit margin on 6 sites is $1500 certainly worth it from both sides.

Wow thats a lot of exposure! heh Ah well I dont mind sharing my logic or methods :-) Oh and btw once we get to 10 sites in a vertical we add another employee that way we dont get overloaded with uploading link time, and lots of mails are still sent.

For instance we mail for 19 sites in the real estate market and Jason And Dave both work full time on JUST that vertical, that is their only job.

I should really start a thread on this :)

In theory they will. However, in practice I don't think they are out there looking for it.

I've using Linkmarket for a couple of weeks now, and you do get a lot of un-relevant link exchange proposals, even when you specify you're only looking for relevant links.

That's a lot of useless emails in my Inbox every day. Technically it's not spam, but it's still annoying.

You can block the email anyway if you think it's annoying. Just make sure you visite linkmarket again.
