New Algorhythm? 5/5/04

I just noticed that the earth moved underneath all the sites in my keyword niche. Many who were ranked in the top 10 have disappeared and random sites that were previously buried have suddenly made top 20.

Anyone else noticing this in their areas?

Cant say I noticed it, I did however notice a Huge indexing a week or so ago and I now have 9000+ pages in the index (It was 12,000 this morning) so there may be something going on

I wish mine had appeared in the top 20, maybe some have popped outta the sandbox, With my site no matter what I do I seem to be 479. It's holding me there for some reason. I'm wondering if google likes tweaking; perhaps a stable site holds more appeal especially at my sites freshness.

Google has updated it database of 5th and there is change in results but PR and backlinks are same.

well sparko, if it's any help the some of the folks who just appeared out of nowhere in my niche have the keyword listed once on the body text, once in the title, and the site is only modestly deep ~50-100 pages.

The other thing I found odd is that the hyper-optimized sites have actually taken a hit (a big one).

So there may be hope for you yet.

i noticed a new serps during this week:

now my site is penalized with my main kword,
this is the only one with i am doing a link popularity strategy.
pr is the same, back link idem,

and this is my worst scenario:
before IPO maybe google will delete possibility to seo or anyone to manipulate the G algo.
hope with all my heart this will not happend!

I don't think that will happen. Google does state that it is ok with SEO that abides by their rules and plays fair.

I've noticed my indexed pages have increased as well - over 20,000 right now :)

I can't wait to get my 60,000 page site online...
