Hey,
After the recent serp updates (the sandboxing one everyones talking about) I have started to rank in searches for my site (http://www.rare-lyrics.com) for "artist lyrics" queries, but im still being ranked very poorly...
I have followed nearly every guideline I could find and optimized the site based on results from: http://www.ranks.nl/cgi-bin/ranksnl/spider/spider.cgi?lang=
I have a slightly higher density and prominence than the majority of my competition, and have the keywords in every format they list (T,D,K,H,L,B,I,A).
For example: Black Eyed Peas Lyrics (http://www.google.com/ie?q=Black Eyed Peas Lyrics&num=100) to URL http://lyrics.rare-lyrics.com/B/Black-Eyed-Peas.html
I am currently ranking 47th, much better than before but still not enough to draw any traffic from the keyword, the majority of lyrics sites do the same job and many results above me are click friendly so take any traffic that people search for.
I am a little confused as to why the number one site http://www.lyricsondemand.com/b/blackeyedpeaslyrics/ is ranking so high, I fail to see any significant on page factors that google could use to rank them so high.
Id appreciate any seo or other help whatsoever, as im fresh out of ideas.
Regards,
Daniel
