Hi - I am new here and not sure of forum protocol, but I was hoping to get a bit of advice on Google optimization. At present, our site is going to be redesigned in the next couple of months, and so we will optimize it fully when this is done (massive java script menus and poor design are limiting what we can do at the minute).
A couple of weeks ago, for the search term 'sap business one' (UK) we were at around page 5/6. Then we made some minimal changes in the body text, alt and meta tags and title, just as a small effort to see what effect it might have - if any. We then dropped down to page 11 within a week. This seems a very sharp drop in a short space of time. We were worried that the changes made may have been taken as spam by the spiders, and so undid the alterations, but we are still at page 11. Has anyone got any idea son why we may have dropped so slightly and how we can climb back to our slightly more respectable poisition of page 5?
