I recently switched out an element on my site and one of my web guys did not fix many of my re-writes causing bascally no title tags or 10,000 all with the same title tags..

Google must have endured this for about 10 days and now she's gone. My PR had finally hit a PR of 8 after a year of work.. It's now a 6 and I have not seen my beloved googlebot since Saturday Night where it came and took one page..

A friend suggested that we wait and see and we should get a deep crawl within 30-45 days.

Any thoughts? Opinions..

what is your domain? My first thought is GET YOUR WEBGUY TO FIX YOUR TITLES you dont want to have the same titles on each page from an SEO standpoint.

However your PR should not have dropped we havent recently had an update (not in the last 10 days anyways)

In order to do a proper evaluation though we really do need to see the domain

That's a huge drop in PR. I thought they only update PRs about once every 2 months.

Wow, if I were you, I'd learn some PHP real quick (or whatever language your site uses) and change it manually. Sometimes if you want it done right you have to do it yourself.

Good luck with the update in PR though.

Since PR is mostly based on backlinks, wouldn't it be darn near impossible for the PR to change with the titles of pages? I would think a huge drop like that would be more attributed to a high PR page dropping your link or burying your link with a dozen others.
