My site name is FunLOL.com. It's been up for about 1.5 years and I'm just starting to focus in on SEO now. It gets about 7,000 visitors daily, but barely any from search engines... mostly from newsletter and link exchanges.

Ok, here's what I did for optimization. (keep in mind that I had no clue what I was doing)

1) I changed my site title to the keyword that I wanted to focus on "funny pictures"
2) I changed all my img alt tags to say "funny pictures"

Did I do too much?

Also, the way my site is set up now, the content pages do not have unique page titles. Should I change that to make it more search enging friendly.

Here's an example of one of my content pages:

http://www.funlol.com/content/content.php?content=averytouchingstory.txt

(is that URL too complex and long?)

Thanks for all your help!

Hi Jake welcome to the forum, first off, yes I would suggest that you change the title of each of the pages to what that specific page is about. Don't worry about getting a different keyword to each title in my opinion thats a bit obvious, just make sure the title accurately describes the page and you can't go wrong.

As for image alt tags, type in funny pictures into google, the #1 position does have alt tags on the images, but you'll notice that they all describe the picture accurately. Each image has a different alt tag and only has one if it seems nessasary. So on your email a friend image I would recommend using "tell a friend about these funny pictures".

Good luck with the site

7,000 visitors daily from link exchanges - that's good. Site looks good too. "funny pictures" for every image may be too much. You need to cut down on the key word density on Google these days.

Thanks.
I took out the funny pictures in the title... it might have been too much :)
Anything else?
