Hi,

After "lurking" for a few months and gathering lots of tips & advice I have finally managed implement most of SEO changes on my site. Unfortunately my position hasn't been improved...

Could someone have a peek at my site <removed> and let me know of anything I should be doing (which I'm not) and shouldn't be doing (if there is anything!) as I would greatly appreciate it...

I hope to speak to you soon.

Thanks

Here are some of my suggestions i'm sure you will get much better ones from some of the better SEOers :)

Main Page
1) I see that you are looking to go for keywords like Whey Protein, Sports Supplements and Bodybuilding products. I think you should move the myprtein.co.uk to the end of the title and have your first most important keyword first.
then your second most important keyword which in this case is Sports Supplements. And finally your third one.

2) You need to repeat those keywords through out the body of your text have some info about the products and make sure you make some of the keywords bold, italic, h2, h3, h4... you should also make the alt title of the top image to be something like your first keyword.

3) Finally repeat your keywords at the bottom of your page with some bold, strong just to make your site unique to that keyword and help to make it important.

My 2 cents :)

alothough I am a newbie taught by Morgan et al , if you are targeting whey protein - it's not even in the text on the page.

Probably G* doesnt even know what the page is about.

You'll need these in your header tags and maybe some bold.

On your alt tag for your image put some of your KWs in - not myprotein.co.uk as people are not searching for that.

And of course backlinks, I havent even checked , but get people linking to you with the anchor text in the link that you are targeting and your page is about.

The best thing you could do is to follow what both cyber-seo and leeds1 have posted, once you have done that you would then need to get relevant link partners that are linking to your site with lots of the keywords in the anchor text. Start submitting to directories,

http://www.google.ca/search?q=protein+directory&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&meta=

Good place to start, then go to your competition and look at their backlinks, start emailing all of them asking for a link exchange.

Good luck with your site! If you have any more questions please feel free to ask

Hi,

Thanks for the help guys. I have took heed and made all the changes suggested. Every page now has unique keywords etc etc all ALT tags are keyword specific etc etc.

Can you have a quick look over the site and see if there is any more fine tuning to be done?

Thanks :)v

I honestly think its a very well put together effort and would concentrate on backlinks and directories more then anything right now. Mind you a little content never hurts, you can always have more information for your users :)

Wow thanks Morgan I have read many of your posts and "stole" some of your ideas so to hear its a "good effort" from yourself is very pleasing indeed. :)

Yeah I am very low on "links" I have been mailing lots of sites (who my competition are linked by) but its going to be a slow process i feel.

If anyone on here wants to swap links please contact me on here or via my contact form.

Thanks :)
