What's the best optimization strategy on Google right now so that the filters will not get triggered?

I have a site that I am trying to rank high on google for a very competitive keyword. When I do an allinanchor: search it shows up on the front page. But when I type in the actual word, it's showing up on the 2nd page of Google.

What's the best keyword density to have?
How many characters in Title, Descriptions, and Keyword tags?
How often should the words be repeated, etc....?
How many anchor texts should I use?

-Density of 2% is good but you can rank with lower or more. Threshold of filter... heu...
-Don't exceed the lenth of the title shown in serps... 55-57 chrs I think. if you do then you may endup with a word like assosiate being cut to ass...
-Repeat no more than 2 time in title and H tags. A 3 word title gives 33% to each words.

If your page is showing up on the second page, I don't think you got filtered. I mean, you are searching allinanchor but that only takes links into consideration so your competitors are probably beating you in content or some other "booster". So, my recommendation is get more links (links solve everything :D ) or improve other aspects of your site, but I wouldn't worry too much about penalties.

Jocelyn,
Why do you have to "not repeat" when keywords in title and <H> tags more then twice?.. I thought thats what it reads the best and has the most weight? Does the bot think its spam if you put to many in there?

Hi Jocelyn,

Yes, if you put too much any anything in there i think you would get flagged, for instance i did some testing for a s***** site that i made a little while ago which is www.shop-rc.com, there i put as much repeating and as much BS i could think off lol, and yeah every single keyword for that site is now no where to be found :D
