I didn't know where to post this question, so I'll just post it here

Hummm... this is a good one. Unless you may get their log files... you will not get that. Alexa will give you an idea, but it's not really accurate data since you have to have the toolbar installed in order for them to know there was a hit to the site... not a big % are using the toolbar, so the data is not really acurate.

http://www.metricsmarket.com/

Not reliable and not really all that useful..

But I think it's fun :)

Hadn't seen that one Starbug. You ever compare it to your log data to see if there's any correlation?

www.google.com Estimated 227,148,000 visitor sessions in the last 30 days.

I just checked and I have more visits than the estimate, but it's not like 50% off the real one... sound better that alexa...

It hugely overestimated mine... I wonder what it's based on... Hope it's quality ;) ;)

30k visitor sessions in the last thirty days...kinda close I guess.

The analysis was pretty quick, so the calculation probably isn't all that intense.

Yea, it always seems to over-estimate.. usually around 20% - 40% higher :)

I still can't work out how they can make the estimate...

Maybe they get their data from alexa, a bit like pagerank tool... lol

I dont even know why these companies bother.

Do you think google would actually have a better count than alexa as far as traffic from the toolbar? (if google was hypothetically keeping track of site hits)

Ive never read any info about the number of users for each...
