Hi,

In the keywords meta tag, which of these ways is the best way to put in your keywords?
If I'm trying to optimize for "custom web site design" and "oregon web design" and "professional graphic design", would it be best to put my keywords in like this:
"custom,web,site,design,oregon,professional,graphic"
or like this: "custom web site design, oregon web design, professional graphic design"

I know the keyword tag doesn't matter much, if any at all. Just want to see what everyone thinks is the best way to do it.

Thanks, Matt

The second option would be better, because each phrase separated by a comma is deemed as separate.

However, the meta keyword tag isn't used for much anymore -- determine which phrases you really want and set them up in the second method, use them on the text of your pages, and get links. Note: you might want separate pages for each of these phrases if they are competitive.

Also, submit your site to SEO-guy's directory of web designers and get some additional traffic.

has anyone seen any traffic from the directory? (just curious) or is it more for a backlink?

Not many people browse directories, directories like dmoz are more for a high pr back link than anything else.
