I have done some research in the main keywords I will be targeting for my next website. But I have a little question. For one of the keyphrases, say "keyword keyword", there are about 5,000 search queries a day for it according to Wordtracker and Overture. But when I looked up my keyphrase like so, "key word, keyword", with a space in the first keyword which lots of people are searching for, there are still over 2,000 search queries a day for it. My question is how do you optimize for both them keyphrases on the same page? Because I was thinking it may look kind of weird switching off between the two keyphrases on a single page. I was thinking maybe making a seperate page for both and optimizing each on it's own page. What are your guys opinions? Thanks.

Hm... I would just have 1 page, but use different anchor texts for the links coming in.

I usually aim for the big one and pray a bit of the small one around.
Since the big one has already a word of the small one, it's a bit easier.
So if you don't get the big one, you may hit with the smaller one or the opposite.
Then you chose... risk to lose some rank trying to get the other one too, or do an other page.

If the KW's bring enough searches I would optimize the main page for both, and then have a support page(s) for each.
