http://www.fix-it.org

The entire site is geared around providing free computer consulting, and support via the online community. Basically, why pay someone in your town $60 bucks an hour to perform basic repairs to your machine that you can find help with at our site.

As for SEO.. i think i have a decent title.

I am going for
Free computer consulting forum(s)
Free consulting forum(s)
However, the only thing that has a TON of keywords related to PC's is my glossary section. The main page is just a bunch of links. Is there anything i can do to fix it?

I don't get it... why do i have a page rank of 0...

I guess im looking for any suggestions as on how to get it SEO optimized. It is about a week old right now.. meaning, last week it was nothing. I think i reistered it last week, actually...

The 55 users are all friends from other forums providing some content so when i launch in june, we have some base to start from.

Mod_rewrite looks good, what I would do is rearrange the page title variables so that instead of at this link http://forums.fix-it.org/about72.html the title saying
"Fix-IT.org - Computer support forums for technical help. - FIX-IT - Got my new speakers" which is arranged "main site title - topic title"
I would arrange it either "topic title - main site title" or better yet just "topic title"

So again for this page http://forums.fix-it.org/about72.html my title would simply pull "Got my new speakers"

the reason behind that is...

I had it like that, but then the main portal page displays just "HOME" as the title... which is a huge waste on my main page. I would edit it out, but there is a header attached to it, and im not sure where the portal page picks up its title.

I'm not a php wiz :(

Here's one more:

As for the main page www.fix-it.org, you are automatically redirecting to http://forums.fix-it.org/portal.php. Maybe you should just a link on there that saying click here to go to the forums becuase if google is being redirected to another page by server side scripting it will not crawl the site that it is being redirected too.

Another thing you can do with that is redirect you page with Javascript becuase google won't read that part at all. Although it is also not legal becuase when someone views the cashe of your site they will automatically be redirected over to the forum url and if they report you google may or may not do something about it.

Also for your main page, what is your keyword? from what i see you are going for "Computer Support Forums" or "Computer Support". For Computer support forums there is 5,160,000 sites cashed with google and 0 people searching it per day. And for "Computer Support" there is 15,700,000 sites cashed and only 234 people searching for it per day. If you want to go for those keywords you should add some text to your main page repeating the keywords with 1 H1 for your main keyword and with H2's and <b>'s for your second or third keyword if you get one.

Hope that helps.

i cannot really do anything about that redirect, right now. Is there nothing i can do to remedy that situation? a .htaccess redirect will make my site not spidered?

actually, i should be okay. I checked online and a redirect 301 through a .htacess file is allowed through google, and i should not be penalized.
