That's a standard pattern... one little pathfinder bot comes and checks for new pages, and then later in the evening all his little mates come and download the new stuff....

Maybe it's a good reason why you shouldn't have a meta tag with robots "revisit-after 1 days"...

That's why I like the MSNbot and Yahoo! Slurp better than Googlebot. They are much more active. On the other hand, Google brings me more traffic than Yahoo and a lot more than MSN.

google spiders very quickly. sometimes it does not spider so many links on a site.

I find Googlebot much more active than Slurp. Yahoo! has some ancient pages still indexed, which leads me to believe Slurp is very slow - even non-existent in some instances.

Googlebot is much more active and will find pages much quicker than the others, if you do what has to be done for it to find the pages quick.

I can't wait till they spider my whole site, we have so much content and even BMW news! Plenty for Mr. Google Bot and his frinds to Munch on :)
