So far on my site, I've added content, submitted to directories such as DMOZ and Yahoo (in both), add a ton of anchor text and textual content. I moved from 180 to 38, in a Google search for my keyword "hot sauce" But I can't seem to get any higher. I have only 13 links showing in Google, but I know I have about 75 or so. There aren't a lot of relevant sites for me to link to, so now what do I do? The number one competitor for my keyword is actually copying my photos (which I took and edited, sent a cease and desist notice, but he doesn't care) and using a link farm and the number two competitor is using doorway pages. It's a bummer to see people using the black hat methods and succeeding. I guess the only answer is more links, but where should I go for those at this point?

I saw a lot of sites on DMOZ under the category you are listed.
Why don't you try to do link exchange with sites from there?

I would keep up what you are doing. If you have moved up, you will most likely continue to do so as you add more inbound links. I would also add more content pages to your site and make sure your linking strategy is clear.
