Hello all,
Hmm, how to explain. I have multiple automotive sites. Some I believe have been banned or triggered filters in Google. becasue their rankings have disappeared in Google since the big November change.
I am currently building new sites and my question is. Should I include these old sites in my new links page? Is there any kind of penalties linking to sites that may have been black flagged by Google?

Thanks

If the site is banned then it's not good.
But if it's just that you lost rankings on the florida update, then it's okay.

I wouldn't recommend associating anything with a site that has been banned or had unknown effects....

Better safe then sorry - find a better way to promote/get links then tying them together....

linking to low PR sites isn't always horrible

but yes, never, link to a site that's banned (or looks like it will be banned shortly)

Linking to sites in "bad neighborhoods", e.g., porn, banned, spammers, link farms, etc., will likely affect what Google thinks of your site = penalties. Not worth the risk.
