I added a forum a few weeks ago and now have an additional 2000 pages.

What link back to domain.com should I use ?

I notice seo-guy has something different from the words he is #1

Should I use something completely different?

If I am targeting KW1KW2 what should I have ?

thanks

Use your most important kw. Since SEO Guy already ranks number 1 for a bunch of his, he's targeting something new now :D

Thanks seo-bob

It didn't make any difference at all

1) either the #1 of links with my KW
2) or the additional 2000 pages

Work that one out

Hmm... that's weird, you should have had some effect. How long have you had things going for?

Site is 3 yrs old.

Gradually increased to 100 pages

Forum went live 3 weeks ago

2000 indexed pages all pointing to domain.com with KW1KW2

So the # of links nor the additional site size made any difference to my serps

You most certainly wont see an instant benefit from the backlinks at all, they take time, in fact I havent tested whether internal links get sandboxed yet or not, but its possible.

just because they haven't shown yet certainly doesn't mean they're "sandboxed"

I'd wait for another update or two and they'll probably show/get credited
