can some one help..
i submited to dmoz,
but have not heard anything or seen my site..
it's been about 2 weeks.
will they email me or how do i know...

The first thing to do is see if there's an editor for the category you submitted to. If there isn't, then it might take a while as one of the editors from a higher category will have to come down to review your site.

Beyond that, I'm not sure how long to wait. I know there's a coujple dmoz editors creeping around here that should be able to help (or correct me if i'm wrong)

You can see there's a link to volunteer to edit that category. What that means is that there currently isn't an editor.

Two weeks is not a long time at all and I would expect it to take much much longer

If you wait until a full month has elapsed since you originally submitted your site you could visit www.resource-zone.com where an editor will be able to confirm of the submission was received. Be sure to read the forum guidelines of the Resource Zone BEFORE you post a message.

I'm really glad that someone with more dmoz experience than me could answer that for him.

DO NOT ask for status until you have submitted and waited for at least a month. Also, do not resubmit, it will put you back at the bottom of the pile.

The editors are all voluteers that are way over their heads as far as workload. Sometimes you get listed within a month. They currently have submissions waiting for review that are over a year old. It is good to check back for status every 1-2 months. If you do not follow their guidelines EXACTLY don't expect action on your submission any time soon.
